This training is available to previously unemployed youth and runs for 9 - 12 months. Learners spend half their time at college and the other half doing practical work at a flooring contractor.

Learners do not pay for the training and receive a small stipend each month (R 2 500.00) to cover their transport costs.

Once a learner has completed the course they are awarded a National Certificate: Installation of Floor Coverings NQF Level 1. With this qualification, a learner can apply for a title. Read here for more information.

FITA has training providers in Johannesburg and Cape Town who offer this training. Watch our Facebook page for details of when the next learnership programme will run and how to apply.
